As an unknowing captive to her repressively religious mother (who profits from Clara doing God’s Work), Clara lives a secluded life within the Costa Rican jungle. The arrival of an attractive younger man causes a sexual awakening within her resulting in a new sense of self-awareness.

The natural world is finely tuned to Clara’s emotions and while she is renowned for her ability to heal, her sexual jealousy unleashes devastation.
