Tippi Hedren

Tippi Hedren is an American actress, animal activist and author. She is best known for THE BIRDS (1963) and MARNIE (1964). After rescuing a pride of lions for her film ROAR (1981) she established the Shambala Preserve. Instrumental in creating laws to protect exotic animals in captivity and in the development of Vietnamese- American nail salons in the US, she just released “Tippi: A Memoir.”
