James Cook

Trained as an in-house editor for 3 years, he progressed from Camera Operator, to Director of Photography and Eventually to Director.

Over 4 years of directing he has shot many TV ads, commercial product promos, short dramas, and music videos, working for clients such as Nike, The NHS, and Shelter. He was commissioned in 2009 to create bespoke visuals for London-based musical artists playing at major festivals in Europe.

Since 2005 James has won many awards for his work including ‘Best non-broadcast documentary 2005’, ‘Best product promo 2006’ and a ‘Visual Excellence award’ for a selection of his work in 2009.

Now focusing heavily on drama, he has collaborated with producer Karen Taylor at Plenitude Productions on his first written and directed short film ‘Together’, a gay themed suspense thriller.

With the success of ‘Together’ and their new partnership, James and Karen are set to collaborate again on their debut feature film ‘The Definition of Me’ in 2012.
