Caru Alves de Souza

Caru Alves de Souza is a young director, producer and screenwriter from São Paulo. She began her career producing film festivals and exhibits. Her partnership with Tata Amaral began when they founded Tangerina Entretenimento, the first film of which was Antônia, co-produced by O2, Fernando Meirelles’s film company. With Tangerina, Caru has directed and written screenplays besides producing most of the company’s films.

She is presently post-producing her first feature film, De Menor (Underage) and writing her second  feature film, Sonhos de Rossi (Rossi’s Dreams). She also is in the selection comiteé of SESC script laboratory, one of the most important script lab from Brasil.
