Shauna MacDonald

One of Canada’s most successful actresses, Nova Scotia born, Shauna MacDonald came out as an actress…in the Soviet Union. She was studying Russian when she was hired to work on fellow Canadian Paul Haggis’ first feature film, Red Hot. Since then, she’s been building an impressive resume, sharing screen time with Jeff Goldblum, Liev Shreiber, Burt Reynolds, Katie Holmes, Donnie Walberg and Billy Zane. She’s worked extensively in television and film.

Some of her credits include The Kennedys, Disney’s Harriet The Spy: Blog Wars, Trailer Park Boys, Saint Ralph, Saw VI, Lost Girl, Breakfast With Scot, Aaron Stone and Testees. Shauna recently produced Kate Johnston’s short film, Stormcloud and can currently be seen playing Dr. Galina in the Netflix original series, Hemlock Grove. TRU LOVE is her feature film writing, producing and directing debut and she is thrilled to portray Tru. Shauna lives in Toronto with her two very dramatic whippets, Citron and Maude.
